Aug 25, 2026
UMass Dartmouth’s School of Law recently welcomed its largest entering class to date, with 148 students joining the school this year.
More than 1,500 people applied to the School of Law, which is the only public law school in Massachusetts.
The new students will bring a range of backgrounds, experiences and perspectives to the classroom, with students coming from 27 states and 11 countries and ranging in age from 19 to 70.
“Each of you is about to embark on the single most transformative experience in all of higher education, the first year of law school,” Interim Dean Eric Mitnick told students during an orientation.
