Water main break on Cottage Street is being repaired

A water main has been shut off for repairs on Cottage Street, and is expected to be back online later this afternoon. 

The affected area is on Cottage Street between Wilson Street and Elm Street. Drivers are asked to avoid this area so the main can be repaired.

After the main is turned on, there may be sediment, iron and manganese build up in the water due to the main being flushed after repair. If water is discolored, leave the tap on until it runs clear. If it is discolored, avoid using hot water or doing laundry.
