Meeting about Dartmouth road improvements
On Monday, May 4 representatives from the Southeastern Regional Planning and Economic Development District will be hosting a public meeting about a drafted 2027-2031 Transportation Improvement Program. This program includes three Dartmouth projects, including a restructuring of the Route 6 corridor improvement project.
They are amending the project that involves the Dartmouth Corridor Improvements on Route 6 from Faunce Corner Road to Hathaway Road project will now begin in 2027 and instead of 2026. This project will be removed from the 2027-2030 plan and added to the 2027-2031 Transportation Improvement Program.plan. Instead of starting in 2026, it will now be started in 2027.
The Development District is programming $158,178,563 for 16 projects over five years, three of which are in Dartmouth. The District decides on 10 towns including Dartmouth. There are 17 projects, three of which are for Dartmouth.
The virtual public meeting on May 4 at 4 p.m. There will be a 21 public comment period before any decisions are made.
