Listen to some good music and music for good at the Social Justice Choir of Southeastern Massachusetts Fall Festival on Sunday, Nov. 9 starting at 4 p.m.
The festival melds voices from Bridgewater State University, UMass Dartmouth and those in the community. The festival will feature songs.such as Elaine Hagenberg’s “Refuge,” the traditional protest song “We Shall Not be Moved” and the Doobie Brother’s “Listen to the Music.”
While the performance is free, the choir is asking for donations of shelf stable food for both university food banks as well as coats and cold-weather clothes for Bridgewater’s First Congregational Church UCC.
People are welcome not only to come and listen, but to join in. To participate in the chorus, sign up at tinyurl.com/bdzz77hj. Rehearsals will be on Saturday, Nov. 8 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 9 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
The festival will be held at the Bridgewater State University’s Horace Mann Auditorium, 131 Summer Street in Bridgewater.
