UMass Dartmouth is hosting the “Thump and Soul “Unity” Session,” focusing on community, culture and deep afro jazz house music.
Thump and Soul will be held at the Frederick Douglas Unity House at 285 Old Westport Road, on Friday, March 27 at 8 p.m.
Artists like The ZYG 808, DaPhunkee Professor and Casey Figueroa will be filling the house with the sounds of soulful house, Afrobeat, jazz inflections, R&B warmth and basslines. The sounds will have percussion, musical story telling and lots of grove.
To keep the party going, True North Nutrition will be providing healthy drinks. The evening is curated by WAMPTRONICA.
