Town to start ticketing

The Town of Dartmouth has announced they will start enforcing parking restrictions during Town Hall hours.

People cannot park in the front or back lot of Town Hall unless they are visiting Town Hall. They have built a back lot with 60 spaces down the hill behind Memorial Stadium where people can park during sports events or for middle school pick up.

This also applies to areas with signs that state illegal parking. Town Administrator Cody Haddad stated there was a vehicle illegally parked on Slocum Road during the middle school dismissal. A car hit the parked vehicles oversized tire and flipped over.

If someone repeatedly ignores the parking restrictions, their car will be towed.

Town Hall is open from 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Monday, 8 a.m. to 4:40 p.m. Tuesday to Thursday and 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Fridays.
