Voting in Dartmouth

There are three elections coming to Dartmouth in the next few months; primaries on Tuesday, Sept. 1, Fall Town Meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 20 and state elections on Tuesday, Nov. 3. 

Residents have until Saturday, Aug. 22 to register to vote or change anything on their voter registration forms. This includes party affiliation. Those who are unaffiliated with a party will have to choose whether to vote for the democratic candidate or the republican candidate. 

Voting for residents of Precinct 9 has been moved to the Dartmouth Youth Soccer Association Field House, located at 562 Russells Mills Road. 

Early voting for the primaries is from Saturday, Aug. 22 to Friday, Aug. 28 during Town Hall hours. 

During the primaries, residents will choose a candidate for a number of positions: 

• Senator in Congress

• Governor

• Lieutenant Governor

• Attorney General

• Secretary of State

• Treasurer

• Auditor 

• Ninth Bristol County District Representative in Congress

• Counselor from the first district

• Senator in General Court for the second Bristol and Plymouth district

• Representative in Court for the ninth Bristol District

• District Attorney of the Bristol District

• Registrar of Probate for Bristol County

• County Commissioner’s Bristol County

• County Treasurer

These same people will appear on the ballot for the November state election. 

For Fall Town Meeting, the last day to submit citizens petitions is Monday, Aug. 31. The Select Board will meet on Monday, Sept. 28 to vote on the warrant. They have until Tuesday, Oct. 13 to post the warrant. 

Fall Town Meeting will be held at the Dartmouth High School at 7 p.m.
