Water flushing scheduled
The town of Dartmouth will be flushing water mains from Tuesday, Oct. 13 to Thursday, Nov. 5 between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m.
During this, they will be moving water at a high speed through the water mains, which helps to remove iron, manganese and biofilm.
This could cause the water to be discolored, and the town encourages residents with discolored water to run cold water until the water runs clear. Residents should avoid using hot water during flushing hours.
This could also cause the water pressure to be low. If the pressure remains low after 8 p.m., residents should contact 508-999-0742.
For any questions or concerns, residents can contact Water and Sewer Superintendent Andrew LaFleur at 508-999-0742 or email alafleur@dartmouthma.gov.
