Constitutional Writes
Event Date
An event with both rights and writes. Experience what it was like to be a founding father by writing the constitution out by hand at the Southworth Library.
Notebooks and copies of the Constitution will be provided, but guests must bring their own writing tool. Guests can stay and write for the full two hours or as short as preferred.
This is a time for patrons to reflect internally, and there will be no political debate.
Handwriting the Constitution was a project started in 2017 that invites people to familiarize themselves with the rights of Americans, but also to explore writing by hand.
The events will be on Tuesdays once a month. On Sept. 15 and Nov. 17 the event will be from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., and on Oct. 20 and Dec. 15 the event will be from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
This event is free and registration is not required. The Southworth Library is located at 732 Dartmouth Street.
